Vintran Receipt

Terms of use

Last updated 27 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Vintran (“we”, “us”) for using Vintran Receipt. Read them together with our privacy policy, which explains how we handle personal data.

In short

  • Vintran Receipt is free to use today. We'll give you 30 days' notice before charging for anything you already use.
  • You own your records. You're responsible for what your documents say, and for having permission to hold your customers' details.
  • Don't use the app to create fake or misleading documents, or to deceive anyone.
  • A verification code confirms a document was issued through the app as shown. It doesn't prove the sale happened.
  • Keep copies of the documents you need. You can close your account at any time.

1.About these terms

By creating an account or using Vintran Receipt, you agree to these terms. If you use it for a business, you confirm you're allowed to agree on the business's behalf, and “you” includes the business.

You must be at least 18. If you don't agree to these terms, don't use the app.

2.The service

Vintran Receipt lets businesses create and share receipts, invoices, quotations, proformas and credit notes. It also keeps customer records and a ledger, sends messages and reminders, and shows reports.

We keep improving it, so features may be added, changed or removed. If we remove a feature you rely on, we'll tell you in advance where we reasonably can.

3.Your account

  • Give accurate details and keep them up to date. This matters most for your business name, address and Tax Identification Number, which print on your documents.
  • Keep your password to yourself. Each login can be signed in on two devices at a time, so give each person their own login rather than sharing one.
  • You're responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has got in, tell us straight away at [email protected].

4.Staff accounts

Business owners can invite staff and choose what each person can see and do. The owner is responsible for what their staff do in the app, and for removing access when someone leaves.

Only the owner can delete documents, submit accreditation evidence or pay for business verification.

5.Your documents and records

  • You own your content: your records, logo, templates and uploads. You give us permission to store, process, display and send that content as needed to run the service for you, and for nothing else.
  • You're responsible for what your documents say. Each one should record a real transaction, with the correct amounts, taxes, TIN and payment terms. The app works out totals from what you enter. It doesn't check them against what actually happened.
  • Only upload what you have the right to use, including logos, templates and images.
  • Tax and record-keeping duties are yours. The app helps you keep records, but it isn't tax, accounting or legal advice.

6.Your customers

When you add customers or send them documents, you control their personal data and we process it for you, as our privacy policy explains. You need a lawful reason under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 to record their details and to contact them. You should also tell them how you use their data.

Emails and reminders go out on your behalf from our email address. Send only messages your customers would expect, such as their documents and reminders about their own accounts. WhatsApp messages are sent from your own WhatsApp, under WhatsApp's terms. We can't guarantee that any message is delivered.

7.Acceptable use

Don't use Vintran Receipt to:

  • create a document for a transaction that didn't happen, or alter one to mislead anyone;
  • impersonate another business, or use another business's name, logo or TIN;
  • commit fraud, launder money, evade tax or break any other law;
  • send spam, or messages your customers haven't agreed to receive;
  • upload malware, or content that is unlawful or infringes someone else's rights;
  • get into other accounts or our systems, test their security without our written permission, or disrupt the service;
  • scrape or copy the app, or resell access to it;
  • get around its limits, such as the two-device limit or the permissions an owner has set.

8.Verification codes and badges

Document codes. Each document carries a verification code and QR code. Checking one shows the document as it was issued through the app, by the account named on it. It doesn't confirm that the transaction happened, that goods were delivered, or that the business is reliable. A document changed outside the app is no longer the document that was issued, so don't present it as one.

Vintran Accredited. We award this mark at our discretion. An automated check compares the business against our criteria, then our team reviews the location and bank-statement evidence the business submits. We may decline or revoke the mark, for example if evidence was misleading or these terms were broken. A business that is declined or has the mark revoked can be considered again after 90 days. The mark reflects our review at the time. It isn't a guarantee or endorsement of the business's goods or services.

Business verification. The paid TIN and CAC verification badge isn't available yet. When it opens, we'll show the fee before you pay. The badge will confirm only that your numbers matched the official register when we checked them.

9.Fees

Vintran Receipt is free to use today. If we start charging for features you already use, we'll tell you at least 30 days before, and you won't be charged unless you agree.

Every paid feature shows its price before you pay. Fees can't be refunded once the service you paid for has been provided, unless the law requires a refund.

10.Availability and your copies

We work to keep Vintran Receipt running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may pause it for maintenance or updates.

Keep your own copies of documents you're required to retain, for example for tax. Download the PDFs you need.

11.Our intellectual property

Vintran Receipt, its software, its built-in document designs, and the Vintran name and logo belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app, and to use the documents you make with it in your business, including the “Powered by Vintran” credit they carry.

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

12.Suspension and closing your account

  • You can stop using the app at any time. To close your account, email [email protected] from the address on your account. Download any documents you need first. What happens to your data afterwards is set out in our privacy policy.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk of fraud or harm, or where the law requires it. We'll tell you why unless the law or someone's safety prevents it. Where we reasonably can, we'll give you a chance to respond first.
  • When an account is closed, the share links and verification codes for its documents stop working.

13.Disclaimers

Apart from what these terms promise, we provide Vintran Receipt “as is”. Figures the app works out are based on what you enter. That includes totals, taxes, profit and currency conversions. Conversions also use third-party exchange rates, which can be out of date. Check figures before you rely on them.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection law that can't be limited, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.

14.Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill;
  • we're not liable for losses caused by your documents, your customers or the content you put in the app, or by events outside our reasonable control, such as network or provider outages;
  • our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and ₦50,000.

None of this limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

15.Claims caused by your use

Someone may make a claim against us because of a document you issued, content you uploaded, a message you sent, or your breach of these terms or the law. If so, you'll cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim. We'll tell you about it promptly and let you take part in responding.

16.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we'll tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using Vintran Receipt after that, you accept the new terms. If you don't accept them, you can close your account before they take effect.

Small fixes, such as to wording or contact details, take effect when we post them.

17.Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a problem, contact us first at [email protected], and we'll try to resolve it within 30 days. If we can't, either of us may take the dispute to the courts of Nigeria.

18.General

  • These terms and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about Vintran Receipt.
  • If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • We may transfer these terms to a company that takes over Vintran Receipt, and we'll tell you if we do. You can't transfer your account without our written agreement.

19.Contact us
